1. What are the steps to secure a booking with Voetspore Rentals?
Step 1: Confirm availability and receive a quotation by completing the online enquiry form.
Step 2: Once you accept the quotation, the following will be required:
A completed client details form (provided by our administration team)
A copy of your driver’s licence (and any additional drivers)
A copy of your passport
2. Is a security deposit required?
Yes, a refundable security deposit of R5,000.00 is required.
The deposit will be released once the vehicle has been returned in good condition.
3. Can someone else drive the rental vehicle?
Yes, additional drivers are permitted at no extra cost.
All additional drivers must be listed on the rental agreement and provide copies of their driver’s licences and passports.
4. Is cross-border travel permitted?
Yes, our vehicles are comprehensively insured for travel across multiple Southern African countries.
Voetspore Rentals provides the required cross-border documentation at no additional charge.
5. What payment methods do you accept?
Electronic funds transfers (EFT) to our business account.
Card payments, including: American Express, Scan to Pay, Apple Pay, Capitec Pay, Pay by Bank.
A secure online payment link can be generated on request.
Speed-point payments at our offices (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Mastercard, Visa).
No cash payments are accepted.
6. What is the mileage limit?
All rentals include unlimited kilometres.
7. Is insurance included in the rental?
Yes, all vehicles are comprehensively insured for full off-road use across multiple Southern African countries.
A detailed insurance breakdown will be provided with your quotation.
8. What equipment is included in the rental?
All vehicles are fully equipped for a self-drive camping safari.
This includes kitchenware, plush bedding, recovery gear, and camping equipment.
An itemised inventory list for each vehicle will be provided with your quotation.
9. What is the fuel policy?
Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, refuelling charges may apply.
10. Can I collect the vehicle at one location and return it to another?
Yes, one-way rentals are available.
Any collection or return location other than Pretoria or Johannesburg may be subject to transfer surcharges.
11. What happens if the vehicle breaks down?
Contact our team immediately and we will arrange roadside assistance.
If a replacement vehicle is required, our team will manage the logistics and transfer.
12. Are pets allowed in the vehicles?
Pets may be permitted in select vehicles by prior arrangement.
Vehicles must be returned clean, and additional cleaning fees may apply.
13. Where are your offices and vehicles located?
Our offices are located at Guernsey Business Park, Office L, Saltus Street, Irene, Centurion, 0157
14. Can we visit your office to view the vehicles before confirming a booking?
Yes, viewings can be arranged.
Please contact our office in advance, as vehicles are frequently out on rental.
15. Can equipment be removed from the vehicle?
No, we do not remove any of the set fitments from our vehicles.
