Voetspore Competition POLICY

1. PROMOTER

This promotional competition (“Competition”) is organised and run by Voetspore Self Drive Rentals (“Voetspore Rentals”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

This Competition Policy & Terms and Conditions governs participation in the Voetspore Rentals “Voetspore Journeys” Competition.

By entering this Competition, all participants agree to be bound by this Competition Policy and Terms & Conditions.

 

2. COMPETITION PERIOD

The Competition will run on an ongoing basis with:

  • Monthly featured winners
  • Quarterly grand prize winners

Voetspore Rentals reserves the right to amend, suspend, extend or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice.

3. WHO MAY ENTER

The Competition is open to:

  • South African residents and international travellers
  • Persons aged 18 years or older
  • Individuals who have rented a Voetspore Rentals vehicle

The following persons may not enter:

  • Employees, directors or immediate family members of Voetspore Rentals
  • Employees, contractors or agencies directly connected to the Competition
  • Paid influencers, ambassadors or sponsored content creators working with Voetspore Rentals

Entries submitted by ineligible participants may be removed or disqualified.

4. HOW TO ENTER

To enter the Competition, participants must:

  • Capture photo or video content during their Voetspore Rentals journey
  • Post the content publicly on Instagram or Facebook
  • Tag @VoetsporeRentals
  • Use the official campaign hashtag:
  • #VoetsporeJourneys
  • Include destination or trip-related context in the caption, post or story

Valid entries must:

  • Clearly feature a Voetspore Rentals vehicle
  • Be original content created by the participant
  • Be clear and of reasonable visual quality
  • Comply with all Competition and platform rules

Private accounts may be required to share proof of entry if their content is not publicly visible.

5. CONTENT GUIDELINES

Entries may not contain:

  • Dangerous, reckless or illegal driving behaviour
  • Alcohol abuse or irresponsible conduct
  • Harmful treatment of wildlife or the environment
  • Offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or inappropriate material
  • Content that infringes on third-party rights

Voetspore Rentals reserves the right to remove, reject or disqualify any entry that it believes violates this Competition Policy or damages the reputation of the brand.

6. PRIZES

Quarterly Grand Prize

The quarterly grand prize will consist of:

  • Up to R7,500 off a future Voetspore Rentals booking

OR a premium adventure hamper valued at approximately R5,600.

  • Prizes are not transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash.
  • Voetspore Rentals reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if required.
  • Brands featured in the hamper are not sponsors, partners, or participants in the competition unless otherwise stated.

 

7. MONTHLY FEATURED WINNERS

Each month:

  • One or more entries may be selected as featured winners
  • Featured entries may be reposted across Voetspore Rentals platforms
  • Monthly winners may automatically qualify for the quarterly grand prize selection.

Monthly features are based on creativity, storytelling, destination appeal, quality and overall brand alignment.

8. WINNER SELECTION

Winners will be selected by Voetspore Rentals or an appointed judging panel.

Winner selection may consider:

  • Creativity
  • Visual quality
  • Storytelling
  • Destination appeal
  • Community engagement
  • Overall suitability for the Voetspore brand

The quarterly grand prize winner will be selected from all monthly winners as well as any other valid competition entries received during the competition period.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence regarding the outcome will be entered into.

9. WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners will be contacted via:

  • Direct message on Instagram or Facebook
  • Email
  • Telephone

If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, declines the prize, or fails to provide required information, Voetspore Rentals reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Winners may be announced publicly on Voetspore Rentals social media platforms, website or marketing material.

10. USE OF CONTENT

By entering the Competition, participants grant Voetspore Rentals a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to:

  • Repost submitted content
  • Share entries on social media
  • Use entries in future marketing campaigns
  • Use content on websites, advertisements, presentations, promotional materials and digital platforms

Participants confirm that:

  • They own the rights to the submitted content
  • The content does not infringe on any third-party rights
  • Any persons featured in the content have consented to being photographed or filmed

Participants retain ownership of their original content.

11. PERSONAL INFORMATION & POPIA

By entering this Competition, participants consent to Voetspore Rentals collecting and processing personal information for purposes related to:

  • Administering the Competition
  • Contacting winners
  • Prize fulfilment
  • Marketing and promotional use related to the Competition

Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data protection laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Participants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information where legally permitted.

12. GENERAL LIABILITY

Participation in the Competition is entirely voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.

Voetspore Rentals will not be liable for:

  • Lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries
  • Technical failures or social media platform interruptions
  • Any damage, loss or injury arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance of any prize
  • Entries not visible due to privacy settings, tagging issues or platform restrictions

Participants remain fully responsible for complying with all road laws, park regulations and travel safety requirements during their journeys.

 

13. SOCIAL MEDIA DISCLAIMER

This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook or Meta.

By participating, entrants fully release Instagram, Facebook and Meta from any responsibility or liability related to the Competition.

Participants may not inaccurately tag content or encourage misleading tagging behaviour.

14. RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY

Voetspore Rentals reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • Violates this Competition Policy or Terms & Conditions
  • Attempts to manipulate or unfairly influence the Competition
  • Submits fraudulent, copied or misleading entries
  • Acts in a manner that may damage the reputation of Voetspore Rentals

 

15. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By participating in this Competition, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to this Competition Policy & Terms and Conditions.
